Professor Charles Wu and students contemplate tea during his 2005 Tiantian School of Qigong workshop. One student, a 20+ year Zen meditation practitioner, sums up the experience: "The weekend with Charles Wu was a marvel. He is a magnificent gentleman-scholar. His talks were some of the best I have heard."

Tiantian School of Qigong School Policies

We have developed what we believe to be compassionate policies which effectively support all students in pursuing their qigong training and practice. Students are asked to be aware of and comply with these policies. Students who do not comply with the following policies may be asked to conclude their training prematurely.

Tiantian School of Qigong strives to ensure all classes and workshops are suitable for our many students with respiratory conditions and chemical sensitivities. To help us achieve this goal, and for the comfort of all students, please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, essential oils, pungent personal care products or clothes laundered in strong detergents to private and group classes and workshops.

Please plan to train bare-or sock-footed, or bring white-soled, indoor-dedicated (never worn outside) shoes for training. Neither indoor-dedicated shoes with non-white soles nor shoes that have been worn outside will be permitted on the studio floors.

No student will be denied training due to gender, race, ethnicity, physical disability, spiritual belief, religious affiliation, political affiliation or sexual orientation. In all classes and workshops, students are expected to treat one another, and their instructors, with courtesy, respect and with a peaceful attitude, regardless of personal or professional differences.

Soaring Crane Qigong is contraindicated for those diagnosed with psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality, OCD and moderate to high levels of anxiety and severe depression. Low level anxiety and depression are considered to be benefited by practice of Soaring Crane Qigong.

Turtle Longevity Qigong is contraindicated for those diagnosed with psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and Borderline Personality, but is considered safe for those diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, OCD, anxiety and depression.

Practice of active ("dynamic") forms of qigong is contra-indicated during pregnancy.
